This is a hand crocheted bedspread made by our grandmother Ruby Bengtson Lindquist in the late 1940's or early 1950's. Ruby was a skilled fabric artist who made many quilts and bedspreads and created many beautiful needle work pictures. She was a life long member of Fridhem Lutheran Church and was very active in the congregation teaching Sunday School and serving with the women's groups. Ruby was born June 28, 1901, and passed away May 13, 1981. She is great grandmother to Leslie Gerdes.
