Adult size apron. The pattern for this apron was in a book titled "Egg Money Quilts" by Eleanor Burns. The book shows quilt patterns from the Depression years in the 1930s. The explanation was that many rural women cared for chickens and the money from selling eggs was for her use. Some fabrics purchased with egg money were used to produce quilts - practical needs made with individual preferences. The apron pattern was included in the book along with details of how this garment was created to be used but still pretty. I have included a photocopy of this section of the book describing Etta's Apron.
