I found and "rescued" this quilt at an estate sale. My guess is that it's from the late 1940's to early 1950's. It seems sad to see this beautiful handcrafted treasure leave a family for whom it was made, but I know that it will be loved again. The quilt is an embroidered display of happy animals at play. One puppy is holding a ball and another puppy has a bat, there's a kitten with a fish, a bunny dancing and a pup showing off his red jacket. Fifteen individual playful animals are hand embroidered onto 6.5 inch x 9 inch white rectangles then quilted and showcased on a light dusty pink background. The backing is a solid color of a darker dusty pink.
